Between 9.9. - 26.10.2009, the MAK museum of applied arts in Vienna is exhibiting some of Kristian Kloeckl's projects within the exhibition Young Austrian Designers. The project Geo-referenced Objects has been included in the MAK's design collection. |

The research unit nanodesign, directed by Kristian Kloeckl, has launched its online presence which illustrates the current research undertakings. Efforts focus on exploring how industrial design can contribute to disclosing the new potential opened up by nanotech research.

IUAV's research unit medical design, coordinated by Nicolò Luppino and Kristian Kloeckl are working on tre c, a three year research project in partnership with the ehealth group at Fondazione Bruno Kessler and financed by the Province of Trento on the design of a public interface for the personal health record system of the area's heallthcare system.

The MoMA exhibit Design and the Elastic Mind, inaugurated February 24th in New York, features New York Talk Exchange (NYTE), a project realized by the senseable city lab under the project lead of Kristian Kloeckl. The project's sponsor and partner is AT&T. |

In the occasion of the Notte Bianca in Rome, a first prototype of the WikiCity project developed at MIT's senseable city lab is presented to a public audience. Kristian Kloeckl together with Francesco Calabrese are the project leaders of this ongoing research project. |

Now online, WikiCity is the project Kristian has started working on together with Carlo Ratti's SENSEable City Lab at MIT in Boston. The project explores new application potentials of using real-time location-sensitive data within the urban context and accessible to local authorities, companies and citizens alike.

New communication graphics for the 4.000 m2 Migros store in S.Antonino, Switzerland. Part of the project was the entire indoor wall, department and service graphic information structure for the 2 floor building. You can see the new graphics in place now!

5 Lamp projects for a Venice light company in an invitation based competition that aimed at reinterpreting their modern-decorative collection. Projects are now under engineering development and hope to light rooms in 2007.

After a collaboration which stretched over several months, Martin Ebenberger and Stefanie Kerschbaumer, tutored by Kristian Kloeckl and Heidi Hohenbüchler presented the excellent results of their design project "Otex - new office textiles" which was developed in partnership with the austrian textile company Sattler. |

Project of the new store format and furniture design for the Nordwal retail chain together with Alessandro Righi for Schweitzer/Interstore. These shops are targeted towards professionals and for this reason are thought of mainly as a showroom and information resource of colours and surface treatments in the form of their potential applications. |

Together with Heidi Hohenbüchler and the support of Apple store McShark Kristian Kloeckl is organising a design course at the Viennese textile design school Spengergasse. Theme of the course which lasts several months is "talking textures", an experiment on combining acoustic and graphic expression of language and the textiles within product design. |

Amongst 400 entries from all over Europe "Recip-it", our entry to Toshiba's "Hard Disk Drive Revolution" Design Competition has been selected as one of the 10 professional entries' finalists. Talks are underway to move forward on realizing project as a product. |

For this year's Winter Olympic Games in Turin, the Airport Service Company FAS (a Lufthansa LSG subsidiary) has inaugurated the upper floor restaurant, bar and shop area. Kristian Kloeckl, under the general contractor Interstore/ Format, signed responsible for the Interior Graphics, the new FAS Corporate identity and part of the furniture design. |
